What is the fundamental problem Arch-Angle was created to solve?

In the 21st-century, state and non-state actors increasingly use hybrid tactics that blend conventional force with cyber-attacks and disinformation to erode trust and sow division. The critical, forward-looking intelligence needed to navigate these threats is often accessible only to governments or the wealthiest corporations. This creates a dangerous “vulnerability gap,” leaving journalists, aid workers, and other at-risk groups without the tools they need for protection.

What is Arch-Angle's core mission in simple terms?

Our mission is founded on the premise that safety and truth should not be a luxury. We aim to close the global vulnerability gap by creating a self-sustaining ecosystem that generates and provides protective, actionable intelligence for all who need it. By combining a for-profit firm with a non-profit foundation, we democratize access to life-saving information and build community resilience against hybrid threats.

How is your hybrid model different from a typical for-profit or non-profit?

Our innovation is the “Resilience Flywheel,” a virtuous cycle where our commercial and non-profit activities are mutually reinforcing. Profits from our for-profit arm, Arch-Angle Bastion, provide stable, unrestricted funding to our non-profit, the Arch-Angle KeyStone. In return, the KeyStone’s on-the-ground network of journalists and aid workers provides an invaluable source of real-time human intelligence, which gives our commercial products a level of accuracy competitors cannot replicate. Our profits fuel our purpose, and our purpose enhances our products.

Who benefits from your non-profit work?

The Arch-Angle KeyStone, our non-profit arm, provides life-saving information, security analysis, and digital resilience training to journalists, aid workers, and at-risk populations for free or at low cost. Our goal is to serve the individuals and organizations on the front lines of progress, including human rights defenders and civil society groups essential for holding power to account.

How does your mission contribute to larger global goals?

Our mission is directly aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We make a core contribution to

SDG 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions by protecting journalists, supporting humanitarian actors, and countering disinformation. We support

SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth by providing the security intelligence that allows for responsible investment in complex environments like Ukraine. Finally, our entire hybrid model embodies

SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by forging a powerful, self-sustaining partnership between the commercial and non-profit sectors.
